Imam Moataz Al-Hallak has been a da'ee for the past 28 years, in which 25 of those years were in the United States. He has had the honor of studying under many prominent Ulema of our time, including, but not limited to, Shaykh Al-Albani, Shaykh Ibn Baz, Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen and many others.
Imam Moataz was born in Syria and grew up studying under various scholars in his area. He memorized the Quran at a young age and received an Ijazah for his efforts. During the course of his community activism, he has been the imam in Arlington, Texas; Falls Church, Maryland; and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Currently, he is the imam of the Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor and Vicinity, where he lives with his family.
